Job Location : Pune, India
Essential Eligibility Criteria
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
1. Be qualified to practice as a lawyer and/or
a patent agent/attorney in India or another common law jurisdiction (UK, US,
Australia, Canada, NZ).
2. Have demonstrated experience in intellectual
property, especially patent and trade mark matters.
3. Have the ability to support matters relating
to infringement, validity, patent litigation and licensing.
4. Have experience directly interacting with
clients and preparing, filing and managing own files.
5. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical
field such as Physics, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
6. Have demonstrated experience as a
post-qualification Patent Agent/Attorney or IP lawyer with a patent attorney
firm, a law firm that specializes in Intellectual Property, and/or the
intellectual property department of a global company.
7. Be a self-motivated team player who is
people-centric, entrepreneurial and results oriented. Ability to assume
significant responsibility in a dynamic fast-paced environment, to prioritize
and to work closely with clients as a true business partner/advisor.
8. Have excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
Desired Eligibility Criteria:
1. Experience in strategic patent prosecution,
patent drafting and oversight of outside counsel.
2. Working experience in the electronics or
computer industry in a technical role prior to becoming a legal professional.
3. Experience in patent prosecution and patent
portfolio management across multiple jurisdictions, preferably in the fields of
electronics, software or financial services. Experience in technology, software
or franchise licensing a plus.
